Under the supervision of the (B - STRONG) Project, CIMMYT and Alim Industries Limited jointly organized a hands-on training session and discussion meeting for prospective entrepreneurs on preparing rice seedlings suitable for transplanting using a rice transplanter machine.

The program was chaired by Mr. Md. Sabbir Ahmed Rifat, Agriculture Officer of Ramganj Upazila, Lakshmipur. The discussion was also attended by Assistant Agriculture Officers, Mr. Md. Abdur Razzaq, Agronomist of CIMMYT, and Engineer Md. Fazlul Karim, who shared valuable insights on rice transplanter technology, modern seedling production methods, and the effective use of agricultural machinery.

Following the discussion session, participants received practical hands-on training by sowing paddy seeds in rice transplanter trays using a BRRI Paddy Seeder. Through this practical demonstration, the prospective entrepreneurs gained firsthand experience and were encouraged to adopt rice transplanter technology in modern rice cultivation.

According to the organizers, such training programs play a significant role in promoting agricultural mechanization and developing skilled entrepreneurs for sustainable farming.
